General Product Specifications and Notices

Our products are comprised of and/or contain significant portions of PLA (Polylactic Acid), a thermoplastic, requiring specific considerations:

• Prolonged exposure to temperatures at or exceeding 55°C (131°F) can cause PLA to lose structural integrity and may lead to structural failure. Keep this product in a temperature-controlled environment. Do not leave it inside an enclosed vehicle or near heat sources. 
• Prolonged exposure to UV (Ultraviolet) light will cause chemical degradation of the PLA and lead to structural failure. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight as a regular occurrence, or for any significant period of time. Exposure to UV light increases the chemical degradation of exposed PLA.

Speaker products are passive electronic devices/transducers. Understand and follow the specifications for your specific speaker, derived from the OEM component manufacturer’s data sheet(s):

• RMS Value:
  • Root Mean Square: the continuous power, measured in Watts (W), that can be handled by the speaker for extended periods of time.
  • An amplifier with a higher RMS rating can damage the device; use caution when pairing with an amplifier.
• Nominal Impedance Value:
  • Nominal Impedance: a simplified rating measuring the electrical resistance in Ohms (Ω) that the amplifier experiences from the speaker.
  • It is best practice to ensure the amplifier’s Nominal Impedance rating is at or BELOW that of the speaker, or both could be damaged.

1. 30-Day Trial Window

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return the item within 30 calendar days of your confirmed delivery date for a refund of the item’s purchase price.

• Note on Defect Claims: If your item arrived damaged or non-functional out of the box, please refer to our 14-Day Limited Out-of-Box Warranty for prepaid defect returns.

2. Return Process & Authorization (Mandatory)

To initiate a return, you must contact AHI before shipping the item.

• Email your order number and return request to receive return instructions and a Return Authorization reference.
• Returns sent without prior contact or authorization will not be processed.

3. Condition Requirements for Return

To be eligible for a full refund, the returned item must arrive back at AHI in like-new, original condition.

• The item must be free of physical damage, scratches, scuffs, structural warping, or signs of environmental abuse (such as heat or UV exposure).
• The item must be free of electrical damage (such as overdriven drivers or blown voice coils).
• All original hardware, accessories, and documentation included in the shipment must be returned.

4. Return Shipping & Handling

• Customer Responsibility: The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs and transit arrangements.
• Transit Risk: The buyer is responsible for packaging the item securely. AHI is not responsible for items damaged or lost during return transit. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance equal to the value of the item.
• Original shipping fees paid at checkout (if applicable) are non-refundable.

5. Inspection & Refund Processing

• Verification Window: Upon arrival at our workshop, returned items undergo physical and acoustic inspection within 3 to 5 business days.
• Refund Issuance: Once the item is verified to be in like-new condition, a refund of the item purchase price will be issued back to your original payment method.
• Partial Refunds / Rejections: If an item is returned damaged, missing parts, or showing signs of misuse/heat exposure, AHI reserves the right to deduct a restocking fee proportional to the damage, or reject the return and ship the item back to the customer at the customer’s expense.

AHI LIMITED WARRANTY & LIABILITY STATEMENT

1. Limited Out-of-Box Warranty

Additive Heart Innovations (AHI) warrants solely to the original purchaser that this product will arrive free from physical manufacturing defects and in functional operating condition.

• Coverage Window: This warranty applies exclusively upon initial receipt of the product.
• Claims Process: Any claim regarding shipping damage, physical enclosure defects, or non-functional out-of-box operation must be submitted to AHI within 14 calendar days of confirmed delivery. Proof of purchase and clear visual evidence (photos/video) of the issue and shipping packaging are required.
• Remedy: For valid out-of-box claims made within the 14-day window, AHI will, at its discretion, either repair the defective component, supply a replacement part/unit, or issue a full refund. AHI will provide a prepaid shipping label for validated out-of-box defect returns.

2. Express Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

This limited warranty does not cover issues resulting from normal wear and tear, operational abuse, or failure to observe the operational parameters outlined in the Product Specification Sheet. Specifically excluded are:

• Thermal & Environmental Abuse: Structural deformation, warping, or failure caused by exposure to ambient temperatures exceeding 55°C (131°F), storage in unconditioned environments (e.g., hot vehicles), or proximity to direct heat sources.
• UV Exposure: Color shifting, surface chalking, or material degradation caused by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light.
• Electrical & Mechanical Abuse: Voice coil burnout, driver suspension tearing, or distortion damage caused by supplying power in excess of the rated RMS capacity, improper impedance matching, or overdriven amplifier clipping.
• Extended Third-Party / OEM Electronics Coverage: While the 14-day Out-of-Box warranty guarantees functional delivery of the complete assembled unit, AHI provides no extended warranty on integrated third-party drivers, amplifiers, power supplies, or connected OEM hardware beyond initial receipt. Any separate, unbundled OEM items are passed through strictly “as-is.” 
• Modifications: Any alteration, disassembly, user repair attempt, or modification to the enclosure, wiring, or components voids all coverage immediately.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Additive Heart Innovations (and its owner/operator) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of the use or inability to use this product.

This includes, without limitation:

• Damage to third-party audio source equipment, external amplifiers, storage devices, or power supplies.
• Personal property damage or secondary thermal damage resulting from improper environmental storage or electrical over-powering.
• Loss of use, inconvenience, or commercial losses.

AHI’s total aggregate liability for any direct claim shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid by the customer for the specific item giving rise to the claim.

4. State Law Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
